- Do not put crystal items in the dishwasher even if they have not been restored. Always wash them carefully by hand using lukewarm water with mild dish soap. Rinse well. You may use a cool hair dryer to dry the items but be careful.
- Do not display crystal items in direct sunlight to prevent damage.
- Ideally, keep your crystal in a “dust-proof” cabinet as frequent cleaning and relocating of crystals can cause breakage and damage.
- Wear short sleeves and take off bracelets, rings, watches, and other jewelry while cleaning, dusting, or relocating crystal items.
- We highly recommend using the special gloves made by Swarovski in handling your delicate crystal items. They keep the natural oils from your skin from smudging the item.

- We recommend rinsing the dust off any porcelain items and carefully pat or dry them with a cool hair dryer. Store them in a dust-proof glass cabinet.
- Be careful in taking out porcelain items from storage to clean them.
- Do not use harsh chemical soaps and cleansers on a restored piece. Since restored items are not fired, they are prone to scratches if not cleaned and stored properly.
